ATC AND TAG SWAP

LETTER D ATC SWAP
This is the letter d atc swap that I received from my swap partner Marilyn over at http://dollsetc.blogspot.com/ and a whole lot of great things came along for the ride…thanks Marilyn love it….
I am trying to get caught up with all the swaps I have been in….next I will do the had made ornament swap.
I am also having problems putting together the granny square Christmas stocking I am making…lost my pattern years ago…any one have this pattern ..I need the part that tells how to put it together. Particularly the foot part.  Alll for now thanks for looking and come back soon.

NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS ATC SWAP

Over at The Altered Paper blog hosted by Tee…http://thealteredpaper.blogspot.com/  we just did a swap for an ATC card theme Night Before Christmas. I chose “Sugar Plums Danced in Their Heads” I could not find any books or graphics for this theme so I made up my own. The ATC is made from a piece of packaging that some stickers came on…liked the pink candy look of it. I took candy sticker and snow flakes and put them on the inked card. Printed Sugar Plums on it. Some of the stickers of candy are 3D…
And this is a pic of some things I send along for the ride. Hope my partner Cissy can put them to good use.
And this is the ATC card that Cissy sent to me. Red card stock make the base of the ATC, and then she did some layering….with what looks like burlap, then Christmas paper with red satin ribbon…a printed out paper with part of the poem and then these teeny tiny cooking cutter emblies….funny I happen to have some of those emblies…..Almost used them on my ATC…

Still have 2 more swaps to send out for this year…..partners they will be in the mail by Monday. I have been doing my crafting in MySweetDream motor home….it sure takes up a lot of space to do this…I wonder when I start traveling how I will manage this…I do not want to stop crafting…This will be a challenge for sure …..I know I will have to make a place for some storage because I want to sell my house in PA. WORKING ON & SWAP

Wow I know it has been some time since I last posted and so sorry for the delay. To many things to do and not enough time to do them all. Been so busy with my new rig havn’t had time for much else. A lot to learn. You can read about my adventure with it on my other blog. In the above photo is one thing I have been working on is a Chirstmas stocking for my DD made with crochet granny squares. She lost the one I made her when she was about 8. These are the colors she wanted, tan sand, light blue, off white and tied together with black.
This is a pic of some paper bag mini albums I have been working on, I take stuff with me in the rig every day to work on, while we are on our day trips. Here are a couple of swaps I received recently. My swap partner was Janet over at The first is an ATC  card swap hosted by Tee the alpha swap. This one was for the letter C She used cat for her theme (me too) Love it Janet great minds work together as they say! The other one is alterd witch ATC at Tee’s The Altered Paper blog.And these are a few neat things she sent along for the ride. Will come in handy next fall. Thanks so much Janet.
I know I have misplaced a couple swaps in the mess I  have made here in my craft room. I hope to find and organize everything and get them posted. Sorry if I missed yours.

LETTER C ATC & NEWS !!!

Here is my letter C ATC card for the swap the Tee is holding over at The Altterd Paper. She holds great swaps go and join in. C is for cat, since it is fall, Oct, I decided to keep in with that theme and do a holloween cat. I used some scrap book paper, torn hand made paper and scrabble tiles,and a vintage orange cat that was  for a cake topper. Love those old vintage things. My partner was Janet  of Janet's Art Play. I will post what she sent me soon.

And here are a few things that went along for the ride with this swap. Love swaps!! I will have more swaps to show you as soon as I get them.
Well ….and now for my news!!! I am in the process of fulfilling a life long dream…… traveling in an RV. Sooo by some miracle I was able to get a Class C motor home! I will take delivery  on it Oct 19. I am so excited , I can't stand my self. lol   Please go to my other blog and read all about it. WHAT'S NEW.....

I finally got my mini paper bag family recipe album "stuff" organized. First pic stickers & chip board embly's.

This pic is of all the papers, cards and ribbon that I got together so far.

I also got a bunch of vintage enpherma.(sp)

Was even able to come up with a few stamps related to food  or kitchen. My room is still a mess and not very conducive to working in. Sometimes I wonder if I need all the junk I have. Hmmm.... need to work  on that thought. Sure wish I could find a group to craft with.

I have all three swaps done that I am in. But can not show you pic's until my partner's get them. Soooo what do I post about...Anyone know of any fall / halloween swaps that are still open?  Oh I am going on a camping GTG with some internet friends...you can read about it here my other blog... http://grammyandthepapillonprinces.blogspot.com/ Also I still want to do that give away...soon as I get 100 followers...so get signing you lurkers out there....

WAY BEHIND !

I will start with the swaps as I find the pic's on my puter. This one is the Alfa Atc letter B. Tee at http://thealteredpaper.blogspot.com/ and my partner was Sandra at http://www.flickr.com/photos/gwillisinc/ I dont see a blog but here is her flicker site. Sandra I love it...love those girls in the band. Thanks so very much.Here is the ATC with a few things that came along for the ride. I love getting craft mail :)

And here is the ATC that I sent Sandra. I had halloween/fall stuff so I went with that theme namely BAT.

Here is the tag, Stamped it with an all over crackle stamp made it look like cobwebs. Found a strip of a bingo card with the letter B and put a bingo chip on the no. 13. Stamped and fancy cut a bat or two with some black rick rack...and called it done.

Here are a few things that went along for the ride. I love doing swaps, and I will get caught up with posting some that I have done. If you don't see yours please email me and let me know. I did try durning this try in time to at least photo them planing on posting later.

I have been busy trying to get it together since I got back to Fl. Things to do here and my stuff as well. Working on art/craft room now , it is going to take awhile as I am purging a few things, things that I thought I might use (found at yard sales)  but never have so out they go.

I did not get a chance to work on my family paper bag recipe mini albums. So I want to start those soon and join in on a few more swaps.

I will show the mess I have in craft room next post. And see what other swaps need posted.

A COUPLE OF SWAPS

Here are a couple of swaps I received in the last few weeks. This one was from Tee's Bathing Beauties swap. My partner for this swap was Franny what a wonderful tag this is. I love it Franny. Franny does not have a blog. You should go for one Franny your work is great!!!

And this is some things that Franny sent along for the ride. Neat stuff for my art work! I just now was able to do your tag Franny and will send it out soon.

I hope to get back to posting now that things have settled down some what here. My dad will be staying in PA and riding back to FL with me. We plan on leaving right after labor day.  I have a couple things left to do here and then we will be on our way. This has been a very hard thing to deal with, I will be glad to get on the road. As you can see this was not the best day ever. On Thur a guy hit me and took off. They got him no one  was hurt. Now I have to find a new van. My trip is now still more behind... oh well ...

RAK, TAG, & NEW RIDE

 I got a RAK in the mail from my cyber friend Tee. She got a new printer, she knows I don't have one yet and she printed off a few pages of great crafting images . Thanks so much Tee!!

 Close up of some pages. I love all these! Cant wait to use them , I will be taking them north with me.

Here is a sneak peak of something beachy I have been working on. I will have it done before I leave.

And last but not least :) Maggie got a new dogie mobile. Is she not the cutest thing! I got this dog stroller at the flea market yesterday. I have been looking in the pet stores, and all they have are ugly black strollers. Besides being ugly, black will bake a little dog in the hot Florida sun. What do these people think anyway?? They have a nice little pet shop at the flea market and I had seen these there last year. So went to check them out and got this one. It comes apart, and is a carrier, and a car seat. Cant beat that. And was a few buck cheaper than the ugly black ones. She seams to like it ok, I wheeled her around the house then in the drive way today and she did ok. She hates to have her pic taken, when I was trying to take this, she turned her head away, I told her I see a kitty and she jerked around and I snapped it lol. This will come in handy when traveling, she can now go everywhere with me and we can be tourist & see things. Was limited before, cause could not leave her in hot truck. ATC & WINTER TAG SWAPS

Here is my second ATC swap I did with Tee's swaps. http://thealteredpaper.blogspot.com/ go sign up for some great fun! My usual back ground added the paper cameo from a greeting card,some tissue pattern paper, a gold flourish, black cord and a paper rose. I also tried something different this time. I found at a yard sale some 3 1/2 x 21/2 picture frames . Couldn't believe it! The exact same size of the ATC's. So I used on this time to see how well it would work out. With the flap on the back, it makes it come with its own built in stand for show casing. Great! I feel bad because I had two swap partners for this swap and I had them done way ahead and now forgot who got this ATC. I will post next on the other one and post both my partners blogs and you can go there and see when they blog about it. :(:( sorry girls.This is the winter stick pin swap at Tee's that I made. My partner was Valery at http://itsanalienlife.blogspot.com/ Go check out her neat site! Sparkly blue back ground paper stamped in black snow & ice the theme for the swap. Added some icy white, silver, and blue snow flakes. Used the pop up on the white one to sick the pins in. Here are the stick pins I made. Used white, silver, and blue sticking with the theme again. We were to make 3 pins for the swap. Added my info to the back.
Cool in Florida this sat morning, so there will not be many yard sales. So think I will work in art/craft room cleaning and working on some new projects. Then watch the NFL play off's. My Steeler's flubbed out :( Oh well next year. I think I will go over and join the Junk Journal Swap at the new site I joined. This is such a fun site, with lot of swaps. That is the part I like even tho this will only be the second one I joined so far. http://minialbumscraps.ning.com . GIFT CARD HOLDER & SCROOGES

Made some gift card holders, I was going to make them out of TP rolls, but changed my mind and took these greeting cards that I got in a big bag full at a yard sale. I did not like these so used them.I cut them in half, covered them with patterned paper, this one is from the Sugar Plums stack. Put on some cute Christmas embellishments then added my gift card. Here is the ATC card I received from Cindy Rose at http://cindyrosesgarden.blogspot.com/ Very nice card Christmas Past is what she chose to put on the card. Great card with a lot of neat detail. Thanks for swapping with me Cindy I love it!I was in two Scrooge ATC swaps. I had a very hard time with this because having no printer and no access to graphics's I had to make do with what I could find. I looked thru some old vintage Christmas books I had and one of them had an excerpt from A Christmas Carol in it. And it happened to be about Tiny Tim. And to add to that the couple of graphics's in the book were hand drawn and in black and white.So what I did was antiqued the heck out of them and went from there. On the back I used my script stamp and on the other I used a piece of paper from and old account book. Trying to go along with the accounting theme that Mr. Scrooge was involved with. Used a scallop punch and punched some script from the book and put a vintage button on it. Used a pre-made envy and stamped it with the script stamp. Then added a Merry Christmas to it. Man have I had trouble doing this post. So I am done for now. Thanks for looking and come back soon.

MYSTERY SWAP #4 RECIVED!

YOU GOT MAIL! Was the call on Friday. This is what I got from Jen over at http://alteredspirits.blogspot.com/ my swap partner. I was able to cut out a few of the stamped bird nest and feathers on the envelope to use. Love the face stamLove these butterfly's and the letter. They are embossed with sparkly. I used most of what is in this pic. Here is a pile of embellishments. Had a hard time using some of this color, like the blue tickets.Here is what I made. Using one of the sheets of paper she sent, I used it for the back ground and made a butterfly page.
Had a hard time using the orange, brown, etc color on the butterfly page so I made a tag using the brown one she sent. Used the fashion yarn and fall leaf and orange hand made paper. Stamped with my crow stamp and added my rhinestones. Used the wood chip R putting some lavender water color pencil, then glue and dipped in my new found mica flakes. Thanks Jen, this was a challenge for me!
This was a fun challenge for me, took me a couple days. But that's what the Mystery is all about.

I have signed up for another match box swap i will tell you about next post. The swaps from now on will be send to my Fl address and i wont be able to see then till around maybe the 28th of Sept. My ATC swap with Tee is in the envelope and ready to send soon as I get my partner. I will be sending my swaps ok from here but will be cutting of my mail soon, and don't want to take the chance not getting mine! I am ready to get back to Fl This has not been a great summer for me, and last weekend found out I need a new furnace. Not going to happen this year. So this means the gas will be turned off and I will have to winterize the house. Not happy camper here.
Talked to dad and his friend put my a/c in the Florida room for me...now that makes me happy camper! I will be making my art room in there and cant wait to get started. There will be obstacles to over come, like that's where dad stores the hurricane shutters and a few other things. i would like to get another storage building or clean out the one we have.
