IN THE PARK …AND SOME TAGS

At the park over the weekend…
I met this lady who had set up behind my RV, while I was at the sunrise Easter service held in my home park. Her name is Trisha and she is a local artist…she is working on a under painting taken from a photo of the eau Gallie river in the late 1900’s. She told me a lot of intresting history of the area, and made me even more want to get a kayak to explore up this river.  

Some things I have been working on…
I started working on a few of some tags I already had made up…I wanted to put some beady charms on them so they could be used as book marks.

Here is a close up of one so you can see a little better…I still want to do a craft show sometime this year…so I guess this is a good way to start when your muse is on vacation. Right click to see better.

And last but not least…
This is the flaming flamingo RV girl I have been working on…I got some chip board sticky letters from a craft store and after the first rain they started coming apart. So I painted them on with puff paint and put black /green glitter on them..I put welcome on the other side in case I wanted to use it some where not camping with the Women RV girls. She will live here in this spot in my RV unless I am camping…then she will be on a flag pole outside.

Not doing much…
That’s about my life right now…not doing much..after the fun and adventure of Jan and part of Feb….the let down now is hard to take. I am getting antsy about heading north for the summer….I am ready now …but I don’t think the weather is ready for me yet…so that’s it for now thanks for looking and come back soon

I am trying to get caught up with all the swaps I have been in….next I will do the had made ornament swap.
I am also having problems putting together the granny square Christmas stocking I am making…lost my pattern years ago…any one have this pattern ..I need the part that tells how to put it together. Particularly the foot part.  Alll for now thanks for looking and come back soon.

Here is tag of the month swap I received from Carol (no blog). And also love swapping!I also got started on my family recipe mini paper bag albums. Here is some of the paper I have been cutting. And in the pic above is  my ATG gun I got last year 40% off at Joanne's. I try not to get anything with out coupons.I have also decided that I want to start next year and do a couple of craft show. Make some extra money for my camping and travel trips. I am hoping that the paper craft thing will go over good. Like the mini paper bag albums, for starters. Got a few other ideas for selling. Will play it by ear. Still will be swapping!
Waiting for Friday to come along to pic up my rig. I think friend Pearl is going to come along with a pad and pen taking notes to help me remember everything! Dad thought it might be to long a day for him.

ABOVE: Spring flowers, butterfly and a bird. The flower group is fancy cut from a greeting card I received in another swap. Bird was cut from an old bird book. And the flowers in the top left corner is a group of ceramic flowers from a vintage earring.

ATC & WINTER TAG SWAPS

Here is my second ATC swap I did with Tee's swaps. http://thealteredpaper.blogspot.com/ go sign up for some great fun! My usual back ground added the paper cameo from a greeting card,some tissue pattern paper, a gold flourish, black cord and a paper rose. I also tried something different this time. I found at a yard sale some 3 1/2 x 21/2 picture frames . Couldn't believe it! The exact same size of the ATC's. So I used on this time to see how well it would work out. With the flap on the back, it makes it come with its own built in stand for show casing. Great! I feel bad because I had two swap partners for this swap and I had them done way ahead and now forgot who got this ATC. I will post next on the other one and post both my partners blogs and you can go there and see when they blog about it. :(:( sorry girls.This is the winter stick pin swap at Tee's that I made. My partner was Valery at http://itsanalienlife.blogspot.com/ Go check out her neat site! Sparkly blue back ground paper stamped in black snow & ice the theme for the swap. Added some icy white, silver, and blue snow flakes. Used the pop up on the white one to sick the pins in. Here are the stick pins I made. Used white, silver, and blue sticking with the theme again. We were to make 3 pins for the swap. Added my info to the back.
Cool in Florida this sat morning, so there will not be many yard sales. So think I will work in art/craft room cleaning and working on some new projects. Then watch the NFL play off's. My Steeler's flubbed out :( Oh well next year. I think I will go over and join the Junk Journal Swap at the new site I joined. This is such a fun site, with lot of swaps. That is the part I like even tho this will only be the second one I joined so far. http://minialbumscraps.ning.com . GETTING CAUGHT UP

This is a mystery envy from April Cole that I am just now getting done. I forgot to take pic's of the stuff in the envy. I think I used most of it. I made three tags with it,the tags came with it. Love those birds, doves maybe? I put a red rhinestone in for eyes. Sorry April it took me so long.This is a mystery envy swap from Michelle that got lost in the mail and she had to send it again. So this took me awhile also. Made a Christmas tree. I think it is a banner shaped , but I have never made a banner so went with the tree.
I sent you guys your lace! And I sent out my tag book from the swap that Jean had over on her blog http://lilaclanelivery.blogspot.com/ I am not sure that I understood a "Tag Book" and think I did not send the right thing. I had 4 tags, but not sure what the container was suppose to be. Any way soon as she gets it I will post what I made. You can be the judge, sorry if I messed it up :( I need now to finish up the domino swap. Have to lift up my drill press and set it up that's what is keeping me from finishing it. ATC-TAG, PACKING UP

Few more ATC's and a tag I made up before I started to pack up.Really like this lady she is not fall or Halloween. Got her in one of my swap envelopes. Guess she could be the fall / harvest lady. And a sweet little boo kitty. And then this silly little guy.
Just wanted to do a last post for a few weeks. I am leaving for Florida in 10 days. I packed up some large totes with my art supplies. I think I may have too many. I really want to camp on the way down, hate motels, so I think I will have to leave some stuff here. I had a couple pieces of furniture that I wanted to take, but that won't happen either. I will be stopping in VA to visit my daughter and her family. Then head on down south. I am ready to get going. I have a few Mystery Envelopes made up so I can still do those swaps. The last few swaps that I participated in I had sent to Florida, so it will be the end of Sept. before they are posted here.
Sept. 8 Guess I will finish up this post, I started it last week. I have been sick since Monday with a cold. I have not had a cold in over 5 years, and have had two this summer. I will be glad to get back to Florida. I went to a yard sale today and got 57 old post cards from about 1910-1915. I will post pic's on my other blog. http://grammyandthepapillonprinces.blogspot.com/ I will be posting there about my trip and all of that. So keep track of me there.
