VTT, PAPER POPPIE'S, & A CACHE

VINTAGE SILHOUETTE: My VTT for this week. These are two vintage hand painted silhouette pic's done in silver and black not the usual black and white. I got them about 10 yrs ago at a yard sale for $3. They are from the 1930's and the last time I checked they were listed at $30.00 each. I love them. I have some other silhouette pic's that were my maternal grandmothers. She had them hanging on the wall going up the stairs. They were hanging there as far back as I can remember. PAPER POPPIES: Here are a few things I made last week for my altered are projects. I got the idea from another altered art blog. My take on them was to use pages from magazines. I cut out the colorful part of a page or a colorful add. Cut rounds in two sizes and crumpled them up. Then I un-crumpled them some what not totally flat and glued them together in the middle. Then added a button. I wanted them to stand up around the edges and stay that was so I painted them with watered down white glue. Very lightly. I tried to take the pic so you could see how they stand up around the edges. Fun to make and addicting.

PALM TREE CACHE

THE CACHE: This was a cool cache! And easy to find even tho I have never seen on like it. It took me longer to walk to tree from parking lot than to find the cache. Its that black dot in the middle of the dead palm branch.

To show you how small it is, that is a dime beside it. And I needed one of my "special tools" to get the log out and signed.
Well thats it for today, thanks for looking and come back soon. I hope to be posting more often.
Blessings
