I AM BACK & A SWAP

One of the packages waiting on me when I got here was one of the two match box swaps that I joined over at the Speckled Egg. This one was a sweetie from Amy at RubyMoon, tied up in a vintage dresser scarf. The box itself was a sewn cover with vintage bow and buttons, some stamping done on it also. I love it! It was stuffed full of goodies, I lost the pic of that part and so cant show you :( It was a bunch of good stuff! I still have to receive one more box with this swap. I sent mine out sometime ago. They haven't blogged about them so I am hopping the got them. I have not been feeling well and had foot problems and had to go to the doc as soon as I got here, he shot my heel with med and it is now getting better. I scrubbed down the ceiling in the Florida room today and my foot did not like the step ladder. So now I am resting it the rest of the day. I cant wait to get my studio set up out there and get some projects going. Pearl and I went to a festival in old town Melbourne yesterday and I will post about that this week also. ART SHOW

Went to an art show in down town Melbourne on Sunday morning. I met an mixed medium/altered art artist. She had some really great work. This is a pic of her booth. And a few pic's of her work. You know the reputation of my cheapo camera and it lives up to that in these pic's. I wish I had better to show you because it is really great stuff. And dummy me did not write a small description either.

ALTERED PAPER-GOING BACK WITH 2 BLOGS

MORE PAPER POPPIES!.............I have been making more of those paper poppies.....love doing them easy and relaxing.

PAPER FLOWERS.................Flowers I made out of the hand paper that I did a couple weeks ago

I used a new paper punch I got at Michael's with a 40 % off coupon. Love those! punched the flower and added a rhinestone to the middle .....cute! I will be doing more of these also. I just need to get busy and use them.

MORE HP PAPER...........This hand painted paper I put on layers of color with an old credit card and then stamped the flowers with white craft paint, The other same for back ground then used bottom of paint bottle dipped in white paint. I then made the hearts with a Jelly Roll pen. Love those pens. I think I will use some of my HP paper to make some altered cigar boxes.

CLOSE UP WEATHER IN MELBOURNE FL: Great weather , 60's last week now 70's and sunshine.

This week I worked on more hand painted paper and then making a few flowers out of the paper. I am working on making some "inches" out of a deck of old maid cards I found at WM

at Chirstmas time. They were on sale after for 50 cents. The are just a little bigger than an inch but I am calling them inches anyway.I will post some pic next time.

All for now off to the gym.
