MAKING SOME EARRINGS…

I did get busy and make a few…
Did work on a few earrings this past month…not really doing much art/crafting…getting ready to head north…in fact I am now in VA visiting with my DD and family…

These earrings are mostly made with glass beads and vintage jewelry pieces…

This is something I can haul around and do on the road in my rig…

I am all most in PA….have been traveling at a slow pace took me 6 days to get from central Florida to northern VA….staying here at my DD’s …been here a week and will leave on Mon. to finish my trip…take a look and see our travels on my other blog

IN THE PARK …AND SOME TAGS

At the park over the weekend…
I met this lady who had set up behind my RV, while I was at the sunrise Easter service held in my home park. Her name is Trisha and she is a local artist…she is working on a under painting taken from a photo of the eau Gallie river in the late 1900’s. She told me a lot of intresting history of the area, and made me even more want to get a kayak to explore up this river.  

Some things I have been working on…
I started working on a few of some tags I already had made up…I wanted to put some beady charms on them so they could be used as book marks.

Here is a close up of one so you can see a little better…I still want to do a craft show sometime this year…so I guess this is a good way to start when your muse is on vacation. Right click to see better.

And last but not least…
This is the flaming flamingo RV girl I have been working on…I got some chip board sticky letters from a craft store and after the first rain they started coming apart. So I painted them on with puff paint and put black /green glitter on them..I put welcome on the other side in case I wanted to use it some where not camping with the Women RV girls. She will live here in this spot in my RV unless I am camping…then she will be on a flag pole outside.

Not doing much…
That’s about my life right now…not doing much..after the fun and adventure of Jan and part of Feb….the let down now is hard to take. I am getting antsy about heading north for the summer….I am ready now …but I don’t think the weather is ready for me yet…so that’s it for now thanks for looking and come back soon

COOL THINGS

COOL SEWING THINGS Did not know what to post today. No new pic’s to show you. So went thru a few olddies and found these. To cold yet to go out and work on anything. Only 34 this morning!

Gathered up these the other day. I want to use them in some art project. Just now sure what.
WISH I STILL HADE THESES

I found these pic frames at a yard sale couple years ago. They just lived out in my room for a year or so…than last year…when in a funk…I was getting rid of all art/craft stuff. So I gave them away. Now funk gone and I want to get back to work and they are gone …boo hoo…oh well….I even went so far at one point in time to paint them black.

This was taken a couple years ago at my house in PA. Some Knock Out Roses mixed in with some pink climbers. They are on the side of my front porch. Little Maggie is in there somewhere….

HAND MADE FLOWERS

Some very pretty hand made flowers. I made some of them and got a few in swaps. Loved doing swaps…hope to get back to them sometime soon. Pretty colors too.

I am trying to spice up the look of my blogs with out changing the format. I really don’t want one of the new ones with all the bells and whistles.Jus slows things down I think. Both my kids have BD’s this month I am making my DD’s card and  need to send it out tomorrow…not sure DS would want a handmade sissy card lol. Got a ton of ideas for some new stuff to make and sell…wish I could find some of the smaller printer drawers. I know that when I get to PA this summer I am going to hit the yard sales and flea markets hard looking for stuff for all my new ideas. So I don’t have much to show you want I am working on but will soon.

UPDATE….AND OTHER STUFF

My frog garden…I made it with a bunch of succulent starts that neighbor gave me …I have been adding a few things to it…along with some frogs…everything is green I like looking at it.. :)
Here is some pic’s of my messy, messy, art/craft room. UGLY! I have done nothing it this room since last May. After the horrific summer in PA…It just wasn’t in my heart to do anything.
Work desk pilled high with stuff…what a mess…sometimes I would just bring things in here and plop them down…

Maggie taking a nap while I am trying t organize…been working on it for a few days and getting not much done it seems like. I want to put some things in my rig so I can craft on the road.
We have been busy Maggie & me….went on a shake now cruse to a local park learned the ropes with an internet friend that full times in her RV. Then my sister came to visit and we went to a GTG (get together) at Hillsborough State Park for a week. We had a blast. sure made us feel better. Made me happy! LETTER D ATC SWAP
This is the letter d atc swap that I received from my swap partner Marilyn over at http://dollsetc.blogspot.com/ and a whole lot of great things came along for the ride…thanks Marilyn love it….
I am trying to get caught up with all the swaps I have been in….next I will do the had made ornament swap.
I am also having problems putting together the granny square Christmas stocking I am making…lost my pattern years ago…any one have this pattern ..I need the part that tells how to put it together. Particularly the foot part.  Alll for now thanks for looking and come back soon.

BRIDAL SHOWER MINI ALBUM

Finished up the mini album for the grand kids. Her shower is the first weekend in May I cant go its in Pittsburgh Pa , so I am sending it to my daughter so she can take to the party. This is the front cover. Used a chip board album from Michael's for front and back cover with paper bags in side.

Here are a few pages, above pocket with several tags, and a pocket on the end. That would be the paper bag opening.

This page is plain with a tag in the end again. You can slip a pic behind the flower. Hand made flowers and tags on this page also. With a couple flourishes.

Another plan page with flourish bling and a hand made lolly pop flower. I am kinda new making these but they turned out ok. You can slip a pic behind this flower also.

This is the end side of the back page. The rose is an iron on, and a little booklet tied with ribbon to hold more journaling and pic. Her colors are apple blossom pink, and green.

This is the back page. I had them send me an invitation to the shower and used it to cover this page. Added those rose trim flowers you can get at Jo-Ann's. There are more pages I will post on them over the next few post. To many for one post. I will show you the box I am sending it in also.

Sent out my April tag of the month that Tee is hosting, I will post on that next.

SPRING TAG SWAP

ABOVE: Spring flowers, butterfly and a bird. The flower group is fancy cut from a greeting card I received in another swap. Bird was cut from an old bird book. And the flowers in the top left corner is a group of ceramic flowers from a vintage earring.

JUNK JOURNAL SWAP (LONG)

Sue my Junk Journal swap over at MAS http://minialbumscraps.ning.com/ got her journal so now I can post it. This is the front. She wanted to use it for logging about the books she reads this year as she is an avid reader. I put some glossy accents on the Scrabble tile, added some Recollection flowers, and stick pin I made. The binding is rings and I added crumpled seam binding.The back of the journal. More tiles, some stamping and flocked pattern paper. I am not showing all the pages, some have a few embellishments, not many as Sue can embellish the way she likes. This is some stamped blank page, and an envelope Stamped page and pretty pattern paper. Maybe Sue can go to Pairs in her books! I know that is the only way I will get there. lol

This is the first journal/mini album of any kind that I put out there in the public. And I was nervous about it, wondering if it was good enough and if Sue would like it. Sounds like she does!! PIN CUSHION - ATC

ATC on the left made for a swap.I made this so long ago I forget what the back ground is. I made a swap as soon as I sign up and then package it and mark what it is. So sometime I forget. Recollections rose with some of their bling was used. String pearls some hearts I cut from some pattern paper. Lace down the left side and a pink heart stick pin I made. Pin cushion packaged up and ready to go. Has been sent since this was taken :)This is my first pin cushion (not counting the one I made in home ec 7th grade). And that was a very loooooooong time ago lol. Did not have a clue what I was going to make when I sat down to do this. I cut one piece of material, did not like that, then cut the red and white checked (my fav) hope my partner likes that color too. Emptied out a tin I store some bling in hot glued some glass bubbles, stuffed the material and hot glued it down. The lace I got in a swap, was too wide so I cut in in half and glued it on. Looked around seen the red buttons they were added next. It looked ok , but I felt there was something missing. Picked up a box to start making the stick pins and seen the mini spools I got not to long ago in a swap. What they were doing in my bead box, who knows! Any way the made their way on the pin cushion. I made 3 red and white stick pins for it. And that's it. I still have the one I made in 7th grade. Maybe some time today I will do a follow up post on it and show a pic. LOL pin cushions have come a long way! All for now thanks for looking and come back soon

BRIDE SHOWER MINI ALBUM

My oldest Grandson is getting married in June. :) They are having a bridal shower in May, and I can not go . Its in PA. :( Any way here is some of the thing I have gathered up to make a bridal shower mini album. The colors for the wedding are apple blossom colors pink and green. Lace and trim that I had stashed away.
Embellishments that I have gotten over the last year or so. Every thing I buy is at least 50% off so all that saving is coming in handy. More tags and embly's. Alpha's, chip board.Paper.All the paper that I collected, was from paper stacks that I got on sale this fall and winter at Jo-Ann's and Mike's. I went thru it all and picked out the pink and green that would work for this mini. Since the theme is apple blossom, I would like to make the mini out of chipboard shaped like an apple. I can't seem to find one . Anyone out there have one I could buy? Or a web site that might be selling that shape. I cant wait to get started on this!
