REMEMBER THE FREZE BOX ? Isn't if funny how we can forget things, then see something and ...ahhhh light bulb goes off and jerks us back in time. That is what happened when I saw these Kordite boxes. When I was a kid we had a large garden as did my grandparents and there was a lot of canning and freezing going on! It is what we ate on all year long. My mom got $25 per week for groceries family of five. Now for sure things were a lot cheaper back then but it still was a stretch even back then and she did that for over 25 yrs. until she past in 1969. any way these things are from a gathering I sold on ebay last yr. I love them all especially the container with red flowers :-)
ReplyDeleteI think I used to have something like that tomato slicer, but I didn't know what it was. I'll have to look and see if I still have it.
ReplyDeleteI love that whole little setting there, and those boxes have such great graphics on them. If I saw one, I would definitely buy it to display in my kitchen!
ReplyDeleteI don't remember the freeze boxes. But I love the bread box and the wooden handle utensils.
